• Just by following Elon Musk's idea development, the Tesla Car and the Voyage X plus new concepts of producing electricity, you have to admit that he's a person worth knowing. We can know him to an important and motivating degree by thinking about the 199 quotes in this book. Just one of them could spark your life to new creativity and motivation -- I'm still thinking about many of them. This book has 4 major sections -- LIFE LESSONS, INCREDIBLE PROJECTS, SUCCESS LESSONS, and most important, BRILLIANT ADVICE FOR ENTREPRENEURS.

• As an Elon Musk fan, I enjoyed reading this collection of quotes. I was a little disappointed that so many were redundant, but there were nonetheless some jewels. I recently read Musk's biography by Ashlee Vance, which I highly recommend, and this book of quotes was a nice refresher, though there are many sides of Musk that weren't reflected. He is far more complex than these would indicate. If you're really interested in getting to know who and what he is and how he got there, I you need to read Vance's biography.
  
  Some of my favorite Musk characteristics are his "If you want something done right, do it yourself" philosophy and his "if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem" management view. I was definitely impressed with the fact he's the father of 5 boys, a set of twins and a set of triplets, for which he has shared custody with his former wife, and that he'll take them to work with him. There's also the matter of his indomitable spirit that kept him pressing forward in spite of various failures. Having been bullied to the point of hospitalization as a child, he has definitely risen above that, definitely demonstrating that "the best revenge is to live well."
  
  My personal opinion of Musk is that we need more people like him in this world of entitlement where so many are sitting around waiting for a handout or the world to come to them. He is the ultimate self-made man whose primary goal has not been money, but the good of the planet and humanity. While this quote book is a nice introduction, it barely scratches the surface of what he has accomplished and how much less his very humanitarian motivation. The quotes included match the title and are nicely documented (which takes up nearly half of the book), but if you really want to learn about him, this is only a drop in the bucket.
• First, let me say that it was interesting and refreshing to get a glimpse into Elon Musk's view of the world, in his own words. There are definitely some words of wisdom in this book. Definitely some lessons to take away.
  
  However.... the book really is exactly as the title states 199 quotes from Elon Musk. No more, no less. No discussion, no analysis, just 199 quotes. And those 199 quotes represent somewhere south of 50 or so thoughts/ideas - in many of the quotes he is expressing the same key point as previous quotes.
  
  3 stars is always a weird rating for me to give something - I'd definitely recommend reading this book, but it could have been so much more.
• I truly enjoyed these interesting quotes from one of the most incredible men alive. Elon Musk never stops surprising me. Yet I never know what's going to be the next big thing on his 'to-do list'. This book gave me a lot of information about Elon, his projects, ideas... As a businessman, I am trying to learn the psychology and mentality of the best leaders in the world. In this context, the book of Elon's quotations is very helpful.
• It's a book full of insights, inspirations, advices, suggestions, encouragement, visions, reasonings and honest first-hand experience. I wish I could have read this ten years ago. But it's better late than never...
• I bought this book for my son for a gift and he loved it saying it was a great book.
• It was a good book to understand Elon Musk's life. Inspirational, informative, honest and astute. This book proves that America is still a great place to start a business. And for big business.
• I don't know if the author ever met Elon Musk, but see a lot of work went into collecting the quotes. because I met an inventor, and wrote a book about the person, who had a way to create free or cheap energy and burn garbage with no pollution and was silenced, I am fascinated by people like Elon Musk who are trying to make the world a better place. There is also a bit of background n the man whose quotes or in this book I found interesting.
