- I spend each summer in southern France hosting American guests for whom I serve as a Meditation and Reiki Instructor and Tour Guide. They fly into Marseille. I rent a car and pick them up and show them my favorite places in the Luberon Valley while introducing them to French culture and people. For this, I depend on having a great map. My previous Michelin Map was worn to pieces as of last year, so I needed a new one. It works well for me, getting me where I want to go!
- We just returned from 10 days in Provence. We had a rental car for those days and also had GPS; however we really were glad we had taken advice and ordered this map to follow. It was a great guide and help for us. My husband does the driving and I navigate. This was great to have with us to visually see where the GPS was taking us and to change our route when we felt it would be beneficial to us or just to be adventurous and explore. Very helpful.. A must for all drivers in this area.

- I have used this and other 1250,000 regional maps for bike touring in France (this one, Bretagne, Val de Loire, Ile de France) and they are all great. The 1150,000 local maps are nice for knowing more about what sights are around you -- I used one recently in Dordogne -- but can get bulky if you are riding longer distances. These do the trick and, with a compas, will keep you from getting lost. The green lines next to scenic routes are particularly helpful for route planning. If you're bike touring outside of France, I'd be more wary with Michelin maps, I just had a bad experience using the 1200,000 Michelin Map Italy Toscana 358 (Michelin Maps), which I found to be radically less accurate.
